BEAUTY IS IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER  was exhibited at Maxxi in Rome from 18 November 2014 to 6 January 2015.

Two looks that cross create a moment of magical beauty, a wonderful attempt to capture the fascinating mystery that lives inside another.
Hypnose is a weapon of seduction that enhances the enigma which lies within a glance, coating the lashes one by one with the utmost precision resulting in a gaze as unique and precious as a jewel.
To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Hypnose Lancome decided to create a 22 -karat gold-plated brass sculpture that represented in a way the dynamic shape of mascara-treated lashes.
Through the use of cutting-edge technologies Lancome has come up with a formula and a brush that apply exactly the right amount of mascara enhancing both volume and texture of the lashes. Inspired by the spirit of Lancôme's avant-garde technology, I chose to use a contemporary technology for the creation of my project. The 3D synthesis used deposits layer after layer of metal powders that are solidified by a laser beam, to achieve the precise and unique final shape. The result is a work of art that celebrates the beauty and precision of these complex geometries that can only be obtained through this three-dimensional printing  technique in the same way in which long and perfect eyelashes can only be obtained by using the right mascara. The two set of lashes with their abstract, fluid and dynamic dimension represent the encounter of two glances.  Glances that seek, and find beauty.
